The International Journal of Research and Methodology in Social Science (IJRMSS) is a double blind peer-reviewed, open access, academic research, published quarterly. The IJRMSS subscribes to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing as recommended by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). The mission of IJRMSS is to maintain high publication standards on par with the standard practice in social science journal publications. The Board of Editors maintains a shared vision that IJRMSS will produce quality publications that promotes the advancement of knowledge in social science. IJRMSS’s objectives are to achieve high standard in (i) publication, (ii) editorial content, (iii) international focus, and (iv) reference source. These five elements are key factors used for quality assessment and impact factor for indexing database selection. In our strive to achieve these goals, we are resolved to uphold the following six pillars of standards for publication: (i) peer review, (ii) ethical publication practice, (iii) publication format, (iv) timeliness, (v) international editorial convention, and (vi) full text in English.

The mission of the journal is to provide publication service to the academic and research community in social science that is: (i) peer reviewed, (ii) high exposure, (iii) true open-access, (iv) fully achieved and retrievable online, and (v) leads to impact factor score evidencing acceptability of quality publication of scholarly works in the field.

The objective of the journal is to provide an open access online forum and resource for researchers to share, disseminate, and exchange ideas and research outcome.

It is the policy of the journal to provide high quality research publication that is a true open access journal. The journal is committed to “no fees – no charge” to authors. All articles will be subjected to blind peer review process. We are committed to high quality research publication with free online access and strictly observe non-predatory publication policy.

“17 U.S. Code § 107 - Limitations on Exclusive Rights: Fair Use
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors. See Pub. Author(s) of the article holds the copyright to the article without restrictions. The author retains publication rights without restrictions.

In case where an error escaped the review process or is discovered after the publication has already been released, IJRMSS will contact the author for written comments and/or correction, and the journal will publish the correction in the errata section in the subsequent issue no later than 2 publication cycles after the error has been discovered. Errata will be published when the error is material and may mislead or misrepresent facts. Minor error, such as typographical error, does not compel errata publication. However, if the typographical error on mathematical formula or signage in the formula that leads to material difference in the final result or interpretation than what has been presented, such material error would merit a publication of errata.

IJRMSS maintains strict policy on originality of works and proper credit given to prior sources. We employ computer software to check for work originality. The article found more than 10% similarity with prior works will be automatically rejected for cause and no invitation for re-submission would be offered. Originality check does not count instances of citation and repeated citation of names, titles, and/or sentences and paragraphs in quotation or in-text quotation when proper quotation marks are used.

The opinions expressed in each article are those of the individual author(s). Specific questions on research issue, data, methodology, etc. should be directed to the corresponding author(s). The contact email address of the corresponding author is listed in the footnote on the first page of the article with the mark of a star *. IJRMSS reserves editorial discretion to decline publication of articles or materials dealing with sensitive issues in demeaning or disrespectful manner or otherwise intended to cause public outcry, such subject matter may include race, national origin, religion, ethnicity, and/or sexual orientation where public sensitivity outweighs the academic value of the proposed article(s).



IJRMSS is committed to open access. There is no processing fee. There is no submission charge. Publication is completely free to author. All articles must pass peer or editorial review. Once published, the articles will be made available immediately on this website. Each publication issue will be identified by DOI and each article will also be assigned its individual DOI. Access to and downloading of articles at our achive page is free. We are signatory to the following Open Access XXX: (i) Berlin Declaration of Open Access to Knowledge in the Science and Humanities, (ii) Budapest Open Access Initiatives, and (iii) The Cape Town Open Education Declaration. This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
